Ako dešifrovať sériové čísla

U starších land roverov sa často stane, že motor bol vymenený prípadne bol vymenený rám. Pomocou výrobných čísel dokážete zistiť v akej konfigurácii vyšlo auto z výrobnej linky. Dozviete sa kde sa tieto výrobné čísla (neskôr známe ako VIN) nachádzajú a ako ich dešifrovať.

Čísla na ráme a výrobnom štítku

Vyrobný štítok s číslom na Series 2 je v kabíne nad tunelom prevodovky

Výrobný štítok na Series 3 z pred roku 1980 sa nachádza v motorovom priestore za chaďičom

Výrobný štítok na novších Series 3 od roku 1980 sa nachádza na motorovej prepážke na strane spolujazdca

Defender a niektoré Series 3 majú výrobný štítok v motorovom priestore na brzdovom bubne na strane vodiča

Čísla na motoroch sa oplatí kontrolovať ak máme pochybnosti o pôvode vozidla. Napríklad často sa stávalo, že autá vyrobené ako benzínové boli neskôr vymené na diesel. Keďže blok u dieselu a benzínu je rovnaký, stojí za to skontrolovať čísla. Môžte zistiť, že motor nebol vymenený ale iba konvertovaný na diesel.
